Bhubaneswar: Police arrested the prime accused in connection with a Class 10 student giving birth to a baby boy at a government-run residential school in Chitrakonda of Malkangiri. The incident is being investigated, with the school’s principal, hostel matron, and ANM suspended.
RDC has also visited the school and conducted an investigation.
The student, who lived in the school hostel, delivered the baby at Chitrakonda Sub-Divisional Hospital after attending her board exam.
Reports suggest she continued attending classes without the school authorities noticing her pregnancy. The Chitrakonda police and District Welfare Officer are investigating how the situation went unnoticed.
