Bhubaneswar: The 1990-batch Odisha cadre IFS Officer Suresh Pant has been appointed as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Head of Forest Force (HoFF), replacing Debidutta Biswal, a 1988-batch IFS Officer.
Manoj Kumar Mohanty, Additional Secretary to Odisha government, has issued a notification in this regard.
“In pursuance of Note-2 of rule 3(2)(iv) of IFS (Pay) Rule, 2016, Shri Suresh Pant, IFS(RR-1990) is appointed as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force, Odisha in the Apex Scale (Level-17 in the Pay Matrix)”, read the notification.
Currently, Pant is serving as the Managing Director (MD) of Odisha Forest Development Corporation (OFDC) Ltd, a position he has held since September 2021.
