Bhubaneswar: A shocking incident has come to light in the Betanati area of Mayurbhanj district, where a Class 10 student, who was seven months pregnant, gave birth to a baby boy at PRM Medical College in Baripada on Wednesday morning.
According to reports, the student from Betanati block was studying in Class 10 at the hostel of Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ School in Dhanpur.
On Tuesday, she suddenly felt unwell and her health condition deteriorated. The school authorities first admitted her to Betanati hospital. During initial treatment there, it was found that the student was pregnant.
Later, on the advice of the doctor, she was shifted to PRM Medical College in Baripada for better treatment, where she gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday morning.
No case has been registered at the police station so far regarding the incident.
