Bhubaneswar: A heartwarming video of a baby elephant using its trunk to drink water from a pipe while its mother stands close by has quickly gone viral on social media.
The video was shared by Susanta Nanda, former Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife), on his social media account X (formerly Twitter). It has captivated viewers, leaving them in awe of the calf gracefully drinking water.
The footage shows the baby elephant walking along the roadside when a young boy, who is watering plants, notices the calf approaching. The boy kindly hands the water pipe to the elephant, who begins drinking from it using its trunk.

Once the calf finishes drinking, the mother elephant, standing nearby, appears to gesture towards the boy with her trunk, as if offering her gratitude.
Sharing the video, PCCF Wildlife Nanda wrote in the caption, “Adorable kid, Hope you all agree.”
