Seven-Year-Old Girl Dies As Wall Collapses In Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A seven-year-old died after being crushed under the debris of a wall that collapsed at Anandpur in Keonjhar district.

The victim has been identified as Nirakar Sahu’s daughter Snehalata, a Class II student.

As per reports, Snehalata was living with her maternal grandfather following her father’s death. On the fateful day, she was getting ready for her exam when the wall of her house suddenly collapsed, crushing her under the debris.

Locals rushed to her aid and rescued her from the debris. She was immediately taken to Anandpur Sub-Divisional Hospital where she was declared dead. A 5-year-old boy was also injured in the incident.

The incident has sent shockwaves in the village and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the wall collapse.
