CM Majhi Announces Rs 4L Ex Gratia For Kin Of Deceased Home Guard Candidate In Deogarh

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday announced an ex gratia of Rs 4 lakh for the next of kin of Saheba Dehury (19), who lost his life during the physical examination for Home Guard recruitment in Deogarh district.

According to reports, a notification had been issued for the recruitment of 60 Home Guard posts in the district. As part of the process, the physical examination was held on Wednesday.

During the test, Saheba suddenly collapsed while running and became unconscious. Police personnel present at the site quickly intervened, providing immediate assistance and transporting him to the Deogarh District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), where he was sadly declared dead upon arrival.
