Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government, led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, has announced a 2 per cent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for state employees. This brings the total DA to 55% from the previous 53%.
According to a release issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the increase will be applicable retrospectively from January 1, 2025. The increased DA will be paid in cash with the April salary.
Besides, the Odisha government has also announced a 2 per cent increase in Dearness Relief, commonly known as Temporary Increase (TI), for state pensioners.
This move aims to provide relief to approximately 8.5 lakh state employees and pensioners.
