Bhubaneswar: In a major push to enhance Odisha’s digital infrastructure, the state government has unveiled plans to establish a large-scale IT park spanning 1,000 hectares across Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. The project is poised to become one of the most expansive IT developments in the state’s history.
Announcing the initiative, Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan outlined the state’s vision to transform both urban and rural connectivity over the next five years through a series of ambitious infrastructure upgrades.
At the heart of this IT park will be a “Plug and Play” built-up zone, offering ready-to-use office spaces to minimize setup delays for tech companies. This approach is expected to attract a mix of startups, mid-sized firms, and global IT players looking to scale quickly in Eastern India.
The built-up area in Bhubaneswar alone will cover approximately 10 lakh square meters, featuring cutting-edge office infrastructure to support the government’s goal of generating employment and establishing the Twin City as a premier IT hub.
This strategic investment aligns with Odisha’s larger ambition to be a competitive force in India’s digital economy and a preferred destination for technology innovation.
