Two Sisters Meet Watery Grave In Bhadrak

Bhubaneswar: Two sisters drowned in a pond at Sankrushna Dihasi village under Kashiā Marine police station in Bhadrak district on Thursday.

According to reports, the two sisters identified as Krishna and Koel, daughters of Basant Mallick, aged between 5-7 years, were playing near their home and accidentally fell into the pond.

Despite a thorough search, the girls were eventually rescued from the pond. They were rushed to the Basudevpur hospital, where the doctor declared them dead.

The incident has left the village in mourning.
