Bhubaneswar: In a strategic move to strengthen its organizational structure and enhance grassroots engagement, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Monday announced the appointment of senior party leaders to head various frontal wings and cells.
The decision is aimed at ensuring broader representation of diverse communities within the party framework.
According to an official release from BJD President Naveen Patnaik, the following leaders have been entrusted with new responsibilities:

- Biju Krushak Janata Dal: Prasanna Acharya, Senior Vice President
- BJD Regional Development Cell: Ananga Udaya Singh Deo, Senior Vice President
- BJD Co-operative Cell: Ranendra Pratap Swain, Senior Vice President
- BJD Sikhya o Sikhyaka Cell: Badri Narayan Patra, Senior Vice President
- BJD Fishermen Cell: Dr. Ramesh Chandra Chyau Patnaik, Senior Vice President
- BJD Tribal Cell: Mangala Kisan, Senior Vice President
- BJD Senior Citizen Cell: Debashish Samantaray, Vice President
- BJD OBC Cell: Dr. Arun Kumar Sahoo, Vice President
- BJD SC Cell: Mahesh Sahoo, Senior General Secretary
- BJD IT & Social Media Cell: Amar Patnaik, Senior General Secretary
In addition to the above, the BJD has also announced the formation of its Minority Cell, with the following leaders appointed:
- Dilip Tirkey – Convenor
- Rizwana Begum – Co-convenor
- Muzibulla Khan – Co-ordinator (South Zone)
- Ayub Khan – Co-ordinator (Western Zone)
- Sk Nizamuddin – Co-ordinator (Central Zone)
