Bhubaneswar: Senior IAS officer Santosh Kumar Sarangi has been given additional charge as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd.
Sarangi, a 1994-batch Odisha cadre officer, is currently serving as Secretary in the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
A notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) stated, “The competent authority has approved the assignment of additional charge of the post of Chairman and Managing Director, Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd., Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, to Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi, IAS (OR:94), Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.”
Sarangi will discharge duties in the dual role until a regular appointment is made or further orders are issued.
