Bhubaneswar Sizzles With Soaring Temperatures And Humidity

Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar is bracing itself for another sweltering day, with temperatures set to rise sharply. As of 8:30 am, the city recorded a temperature of 32.7°C, accompanied by high humidity levels of 71.6%, making the heat feel even more oppressive.

Weather scientist Umashankar Das took to Twitter to share the latest update, stating that Bhubaneswar has seen temperatures above 40°C for three consecutive days. As of 8:30 AM, the city recorded a temperature of 32.7°C with 71.6% humidity.

As per reports, the capital city has been experiencing temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius for the past three days. The high humidity along the coast is making the heat feel even more intense and oppressive.

On Monday, temperatures soared in various parts of the state, with Sambalpur recording a high of 42.9°C, Jharsuguda 42.2°C, Hirakud 42.4°C, Balangir 42.1°C, and Titlagarh and Boudh both reaching 42°C.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted hot and humid conditions in several districts of Odisha on May 13. Districts likely to be affected by the hot and humid conditions are Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj.
