Vigilance Nabs ABDO For Possessing Disproportionate Assets

Bhubaneswar: Vigilance has arrested the Additional Block Development Officer (ABDO) of Dharmasala Block in Jajpur district for possessing disproportionate assets.

Searches conducted on the properties of ABDO Asit Kumar Patra revealed assets including three multi-storeyed buildings, a flat in Cuttack, a shopping complex, five high-value plots, 700 grams of gold ornaments, deposits worth Rs. 65 lakhs, and cash amounting to Rs. 1.85 lakhs, which he failed to account for satisfactorily.

A case (Cuttack Vigilance PS Case No. 11/2025) has been registered against Patra, and he will be produced in court today. The investigation is underway, vigilance said.
