Bhubaneswar: A low-pressure area is likely to form over the west-central and adjoining north Bay of Bengal around May 27, which is expected to impact Odisha’s weather.
Currently, an upper air trough is running from the east-central Arabian Sea to north Odisha, causing light to moderate rainfall in various parts of the state.
Heavy rainfall has been reported in some districts, including Koraput, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, and Dhenkanal. The state capital, Bhubaneswar, has also experienced light to moderate rain.
According to the weather forecast, parts of Odisha are likely to experience moderate rain and thunderstorms until May 30, under the influence of the low-pressure system and upper air trough lines. Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather forecast and take necessary precautions.
