Odisha CM, Deputy CMs Mourn Passing Of Former Kamakhyanagar MLA

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida expressed deep grief over the passing away of former Kamakhyanagar MLA Prasanna Pattnaik, the first BJP MLA of Odisha. They remembered his contributions to education, social service, and politics, describing his demise as an irreparable loss to the state.

CM Majhi expressed his deep sadness and shock upon learning of Prasanna Pattnaik’s passing. He highlighted Pattnaik’s contributions to education, social service, and politics, as well as his role in strengthening the BJP organisation in Odisha.

He tweeted: “I am deeply saddened and shocked by the passing away of Shri Prasanna Patnaik, a hardworking leader of Odisha politics and the first BJP MLA from Odisha. His contribution in the fields of education, social service and politics, and his immense contribution in strengthening the organisation of our party will always be remembered. His passing away is an irreparable loss to the state. My deepest condolences to the departed soul. May Lord Jagannath rest his immortal soul in peace and grant his family patience in this difficult time.”

Deputy CM Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo paid tribute to Pattnaik, describing him as a stalwart leader and the first BJP MLA of Odisha.

Taking to his X handle, he wrote: “Deeply saddened by the passing of Shri @PrasannaP_BJP, a stalwart leader and the first BJP MLA of Odisha. His contributions to education and public service have left an indelible mark on Kamakhyanagar and beyond.  His dedication to empowering communities and shaping Odisha’s political landscape will always be remembered. My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.”

Deputy CM Pravati Parida expressed her deep sadness upon learning of Pattnaik’s passing and offered her condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace for his soul.

She tweeted: “I am deeply saddened to hear the news of the demise of former MLA from Kamakhyanagar and first MLA of Odisha BJP, Prasanna Kumar Patnaik. His contribution to public service will be remembered. I pray for the eternal peace of his soul and express my condolences to the bereaved family. Om Shanti.”
