20 Injured As Bus Overturns In Malkangiri’s Bijaghati

Bhubaneswar: As many as 20 passengers sustained injuries after a passenger bus they were travelling in overturned at Bijaghati area in Malkangiri district on Monday.

According to reports, the private bus Sri Balaji, which was travelling from Hyderabad to Kantabanji, lost its balance and overturned at a curve on the ghat road, leading to the mishap. The bus was carrying 50 passengers.

Local residents and police rushed to the scene, rescuing the injured and transporting them to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined. The condition of the injured passengers is currently being assessed, with further updates expected soon.
