Bhubaneswar: The vibrant city of Noida is all set to come alive with the colours, sounds, and flavours of Odisha as the Samudayik Vikas Samiti is gearing up to host the first-ever Raja Parba 2025.

This grand celebration, scheduled for June 14 and 15 at the Ramlila Ground in Noida Stadium, promises to be a spectacular showcase of Odisha’s rich art, vibrant culture, and lofty traditions.

Raja Parba, considered the largest festival of Odisha, is a celebration of the essence, excellence, and exuberance of the state. It marks the time when Mother Earth becomes fertile for cultivation during the monsoon season. The festival is a tribute to the motherland, mother tongue, and motherhood, and the organisers have planned a grand celebration to showcase the state’s glorious history, amazing heritage, magnificent music, mesmerising dance, stunning attire, and mouth-watering cuisine.

The two-day-long cultural jamboree will feature scintillating dance performances, soothing music, and hilarious comedy acts by renowned artists from Odisha and the NCR. Dance forms like Odissi, Manipuri, Sambalpuri, Gotipua, Jhumar, tribal, and modern styles will be major attractions for the young attendees. Star performers from the entertainment world, including Comedy king Papu Pom Pom, noted singers Anandita Das, Debesh Pati, Papu Panda, Jyoti, and eminent actor-director Ashrumochan Mohanty, are expected to enthral audiences with their creative genius.

The food court will offer 30 authentic Odia dishes, including Cuttack’s famous Dahi Bara Aloo Dum, among many others. Each dish will carry the distinctive flavour of Odisha’s soil, representing the delicacy and legacy of Odia women.

Chief organizers Dr Manoranjan Mohanty and Pramod Bahl have appealed to the 1.6 million members of the Odia community in NCR and all Odisha lovers to come in large numbers to be part of this cultural renaissance and experience the true fragrance of Odisha. The event is free and open to the general public without the need for prior registration.

We want every Odia person living here and even non-Odias to come, support the event, enjoy Odisha’s food, understand our culture, and celebrate our vibrant heritage.”
