Bhubaneswar: With the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country, Odisha is taking proactive measures to contain the spread of the virus. The Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar has implemented COVID guidelines, said Deputy Superintendent Dr. Dhananjay Das.
As of June 6, 2025, a total of 755 samples were tested in Odisha, with 38 testing positive for the virus. While nine individuals have recovered, 29 patients are currently in home isolation and are reported to be stable.
The Capital Hospital has taken necessary precautions, including drilling oxygen tanks, making special beds available, and conducting tests. Dr Das advised people to follow COVID-appropriate behaviour, such as wearing masks when necessary.
Although the virus is not considered highly deadly, Dr. Das emphasized the importance of being cautious, as recovery can take time.
