Bhubaneswar: Odisha Commerce and Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena on Monday extended immediate assistance to a road accident victim while on his way to Ganjam after attending a Rath Yatra coordination meeting.
According to a statement shared by the Minister on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the incident took place near Andalasing village on Jagannath Road in Puri district. A critically injured passenger was found at the site of a road accident.

Upon arriving at the scene, Minister Jena swiftly directed that the injured person be transported to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in his official pilot vehicle to ensure timely medical attention.
In the aftermath of the accident, a road blockade had formed, disrupting traffic flow. The Minister engaged directly with local residents, explained the situation, and succeeded in convincing them to lift the blockade.
