Bhubaneswar: The Jajpur district administration has ordered the closure of all schools and Anganwadi centres till June 24 as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of diarrhoea. The directive comes amid reports of several cases and suspicious deaths related to the outbreak.
While classes remain suspended, teachers and Anganwadi workers have been asked to report to campuses to monitor sanitation and hygiene measures. Meanwhile, school holidays in Bhadrak have been extended by two more days, with schools set to reopen on June 22.
Healthcare teams, including ASHAs and Anganwadi workers, are actively conducting awareness campaigns, visiting households, and distributing safe drinking water. Efforts are being intensified to purify water sources and sensitize the public about preventive measures against diarrhoea
