Bhubaneswar: A former Sub-Divisional Small Savings Officer in Cuttack was found guilty of demanding and accepting a bribe for issuing a postal agency license.
The Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack, sentenced Sanjaya Kumar Sahoo to three years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine. The conviction stems from a case registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
Following the conviction, the Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority to stop Sahoo’s pension.
