Bhubaneswar: Three persons sustained grievous injuries after being attacked with swords by a group of miscreants in the Bharatpur area of the city on Saturday afternoon.
The victims, identified as Bishu, Bapi, and Sangram — all residents of Bharatpur — were allegedly targeted by around 30 youths from a slum in Sampur, reportedly over a land dispute.
According to sources, the assailants chased the trio and attacked them with swords, leaving them critically injured. Locals rushed the victims to Capital Hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
Following the incident, police reached the spot and launched an investigation. A case has been registered and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the attackers.
