Bhubaneswar: Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) celebrated International Day of Yoga 2025 with widespread participation across its mining units, Head Office, and Regional Offices. The event was organized in line with this year’s theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” emphasizing the link between personal well-being and planetary health.
Employees at various locations began their day with guided yoga sessions led by trained instructors. These sessions focused on asanas, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices that promote holistic wellness, reduce stress, and improve focus. The celebration underscored OMC’s commitment to nurturing a healthier workforce and embedding wellness into its work culture.
At the Head Office in Bhubaneswar, a group session saw participation from officials and staff across departments, including Director (HR) Alok Kumar Pal, reflecting leadership’s commitment to workplace wellness and organizational harmony.
Beyond its operational areas, OMC extended the celebrations to its educational and community outreach platforms. Special sessions were conducted at Odisha Mining Adarsh Vidyalayas (OMAVs), OMC-DAV Schools, and local community centers, engaging students, teachers, and residents. These efforts aim to foster awareness of healthy habits from an early age and promote wellness within the communities surrounding OMC’s projects.
Through these activities, OMC continues to align its initiatives with sustainable development goals and collective well-being, reflecting the spirit of International Yoga Day 2025.
