Bhubaneswar: Fostering the nurturing spirit, SAI Angan put forth a warm and meaningful event under its annual Mother’s Day Celebration, held at the Indraprastha Auditorium of SAI International School on Saturday.
The event welcomed mothers of students from Playgroup to Class III and was organised under the theme, “Love That Listens, Strength That Stands…Celebrating Every Mother’s Quiet Power.”
Mothers hold a unique and irreplaceable place in our children’s lives, and this occasion was meant to honour their tireless effort, sacrifice, and love without any conditions. The programme’s highlight was an activity entitled Mom & Me: The Animated Edition, where mothers and their children came and dressed as their favourite cartoon characters, collaborated in mask or headgear-making, and then walked with joy down the ramp. The auditorium came alive with colour and laughter as families arrived dressed as their favourite characters from the ever-adorable Minions, the mighty Spiderman, and the magical world of Frozen, to timeless duos like Krishna and Yashoda, Tom and Jerry, Panda, Mermaids and more.
The morning was filled with moments of creativity and connection as each duo participated in a mask or headgear-making activity and walked the ramp in a cheerful showcase of their bond. This activity has captured happy moments of bonding between mother and child, while still reflecting the school’s intentions of developing emotional relationships through fun, value-based experiences.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Silpi Sahoo, Chairperson, SAI International Education Group, said, “A mother’s love is the basis on which a child develops self-confidence, empathy, and character. At SAI, we love to celebrate this quiet strength that walks silently with every child. This event today was dedicated to an enormous range of ways in which mothers add value to our lives with their selfless presence and everlasting support.”
The event found heartfelt participation, with several mothers showing their appreciation for the celebration. Sharing her experience, Priyanka Sharma, mother of a student of Nursery, said, “It was such a very special morning. The way the school involved us in the fantastic and meaningful activity, touched our hearts. I could see the smile on my child’s face; being part of it made me feel valued and appreciated as a mom.”
The Mother’s Day celebration at SAI International once again reflected the institution’s holistic approach to education, full spectrum of activities, emphasising a holistic view of education-the acquisition of academic excellence and the nurturance of emotional health, relationships, and cultural diversification. The day ended with endless smiles, shared memories, and feelings of gratitude filling the auditorium.
