Bhubaneswar: The Governor of Odisha has appointed Manoj Kumar Mohanty, IAS (Retd.), as a Member of the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC). The appointment comes under Clause (1) of Article 316 of the Constitution of India, in conjunction with Regulation 5 of the Odisha Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) Regulations, 1952.
Mohanty, a former Additional Secretary in the General Administration & Public Grievance (GA & PG) Department, will serve on the commission for a term of six years from the date he assumes office, or until he attains the age of 62 years, whichever is earlier.
His service conditions will be governed by the OPSC (Conditions of Service) Regulations, 1952, including amendments issued from time to time.
