Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance launched simultaneous house searches at six locations linked to Golap Chandra Hansdah, Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) at Boudh district. The searches are being conducted on allegations of possession of disproportionate assets (DA) to his known sources of income.
The searches are being conducted at Hansdah’s residential house located at Prafulla Nagar, Baripada, his rented residential house located at Boudh, office chamber in the RTO office, Boudh, paternal house at village Gudidiha under Khunta police station in Mayurbhanj, rented flat of his daughter at Pandara, Bhubaneswar, and the house of his close associate at Baghdiha, Ward No. 28, Baripada.
The searches are being led by a team of four Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), seven Inspectors, and other supporting staff, armed with search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Baripada.
