Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has ordered the adoption of a uniform colour code for all new and existing government buildings in the state.
A notification issued by the Works Department stated that the directive will be applicable to all departments of the State Government, including State Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). The new colour scheme must be followed for all new constructions and will also be implemented in existing buildings during routine repair or renovation.
“Government has been pleased for adoption of uniform colour code henceforth for all new Government Buildings as well as existing buildings at the time of periodical repair/ renovation works executed by all Departments of State Government and State PSUs,” the notification read.
The prescribed colour specifications are as follows:
- Exterior Walls: RGB mix (254, 190, 152)
- Borders: RGB mix (208, 126, 89)
- MS Grills: RGB mix (240, 221, 191)
The order has come into effect immediately and is expected to ensure consistency in the appearance of government buildings across the state.
