Bhubaneswar: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida is set to begin a five-day tour of five key districts—Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Balangir, and Sonepur—starting August 8, 2025. The visit will focus on reviewing the progress of various flagship welfare schemes and development programs, with a special emphasis on women and child-centric initiatives.
As part of her itinerary, Deputy CM Parida will visit the strategically significant Kotia region in Koraput district to review ongoing development efforts and inspect the implementation of the state’s flagship Subhadra Yojana.
On August 9, which coincides with Rakhi Purnima, she will participate in a ceremonial distribution of the third installment under the Subhadra Yojana in Koraput. The event is expected to draw a large gathering of women beneficiaries and Mission Shakti members.
Throughout the five-day tour, Parida will conduct detailed reviews of programs under the Women and Child Development, Mission Shakti, and Tourism departments. She will also assess the status of ongoing and upcoming projects in the districts and interact with local officials and stakeholders.
The visit comes amid renewed emphasis by the state government on grassroots implementation of women-focused schemes and tourism-led development in western and southern Odisha.
