Bhubaneswar: A depression over south coastal Odisha moved west-northwestwards at a speed of 11 kmph over the past six hours on Tuesday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
As of 8.30 am, the system was centred over south interior Odisha, near latitude 19.8°N and longitude 84.0°E. It lay approximately 50 km north-northwest of Daringabadi, 90 km east of Bhawanipatna, and 90 km southeast of Titlagarh.
According to the IMD, the depression is expected to continue its west-northwestward movement across south Odisha and south Chhattisgarh. It is likely to weaken into a well-marked low-pressure area within the next 12 hours.
