15 Injured As Commander Jeep Falls Off Bayapada Ghati In Malkangiri

Bhubaneswar: As many as 15 persons sustained injuries as a commander jeep carrying over 25 passengers fell off the cliff at Bayapada Ghati in Malkangiri district, on Thursday.

According to reports, the jeep was travelling from Amilibeda to Kudumulugumma weekly market when it lost balance and plunged down the Ghati.

Upon being informed, Kudumulugumma fire brigade team reached the accident site and rescued the injured passengers trapped inside the vehicle. Some passengers are still believed to be trapped, and rescue operations are underway.

Meanwhile, police have initiated an investigation into the incident. The injured are still undergoing treatment.
