Bhubaneswar: The Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment, Government of Odisha, has taken a strict stance on officers who fail to comply with transfer and posting orders.
In a notification issued by Principal Secretary Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, all promoted and transferred officers have been directed to report to their assigned postings without delay.
The notification specifies that any officer failing to join their new posting by August 31, 2025, will face disciplinary action. Moreover, the salary of such officers will not be drawn by the establishment from which they have been transferred out. This move aims to ensure that government orders are implemented promptly and without any undue delay.
The department has also warned that attempts to bring undue or extraneous influence for alteration or modification of posting orders will be dealt with sternly. Heads of Directorates and Field Establishments have been instructed to monitor compliance and report cases of non-joining.
This notification has been issued to ensure the smooth functioning of offices at the grassroots level.
