Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths launched extensive searches at five locations in Cuttack district linked to Kishore Kumar Sahani, Senior Assistant at Cuttack City Hospital under the Chief District Medical Officer’s office.
Sahani is accused of misappropriating over ₹1.24 crore of government funds and amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
A team of 9 Deputy Superintendents of Police, 10 Inspectors, 7 Assistant Sub-Inspectors, and supporting staff, armed with search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack, conducted the simultaneous searches. The searches aim to collect evidence of disproportionate assets, including immovable property and bank transactions.
Locations being searched include:
- A three-storey residential building at Jobra Nuasahi, Cuttack, belonging to Sahani
- Another building and poultry farm at Palasia, Choudwar, Cuttack
- Sahani’s office room at the Office of the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO), Cuttack
- The house of Sahani’s in-laws at Deula Sahi, Tulsipur, Cuttack
- Sahani’s paternal house at Uttarakula, under Kishorenagar police station
