Bhubaneswar: A security breach occurred at the Puri Jagannath Temple when a devotee from Uttar Pradesh attempted to climb the temple structure on Friday.
According to reports, Manoj Singh was caught by security personnel while trying to ascend the temple through the Nrusingha temple. He managed to climb about 5 feet up before being apprehended.
The devotee was taken into custody and is being held at the Singhadwar police station. This incident has raised concerns about the security measures in place at the temple.
In recent times, there have been several instances of security breaches at the temple, including attempts to climb the structure and unauthorized photography.
A few days ago, a devotee was caught attempting to climb the temple structure and was arrested by the Jagannath Temple Police (JTP).
Earlier, a devotee was found carrying a spy camera in his spectacles and was caught while trying to take photos inside the temple.
Several instances of unauthorized photos being taken inside the temple have been reported in the past, raising concerns about the temple’s security.
