Bhubaneswar: A goods train derailed at Vizianagaram Railway station yard under the Waltair division of East Coast Railway, causing disruptions to several train services.
The mishap has led to the control of nine trains at enroute stations, including Bhubaneswar-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express (20841), Howrah-SMVT Bangalore Express (12863), Bhubaneswar-KSR Bangalore Prashanti Express (18463), Shalimar-Vasco-da-Gama Express (18047), Rourkela-Gunupur Rajyarani Express (18117), Patna-Ernakulam Express (22644), Howrah-Chennai Mail Express (12839), Bhubaneswar New-Vishakapatnam Intercity Express (22819) and Bhubaneswar New-Secundrabad Visakha Express (17015).
The restoration works are currently underway, and every effort is being made to normalize train movements in the section at the earliest. The railway authorities are working diligently to minimize the disruption and ensure the safety of passengers.
