Bhubaneswar: East Coast Railways (ECoR) recently organized a Safety Seminar for Gatemen on Automatic Signaling operations at the Cuttack training centre, specifically targeting the Cuttack–Paradeep section.

The seminar, led collaboratively by Engineering and Signalling departments, focused on enhancing operational safety and efficiency in automatic signalling territories.

The program centred on best practices for managing level crossing gates within automatic signalling sections. Key topics included critical safety protocols, proper gate operation procedures, and effective emergency response strategies to ensure the safe and smooth movement of trains while safeguarding public safety.

A total of 32 Gatemen and 5 Signal staff took part in the session, engaging in practical demonstrations and case study discussions. Through interactive activities, officials underscored the necessity of consistent adherence to operational guidelines to prevent accidents and uphold the highest safety standards.
