Youth Dies Of Electrocution

Balasore: A youth died of electrocution while returning from the immersion ceremony of Lord Ganesh at Gandasthapur village under Soro police station in Balasore district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Akshay Nayak (30), a resident of Gandasthapur village under Bahanaga block of Balasore district.

According to reports, Akshay had participated in the Ganesh Puja immersion procession. After the event, while attempting to switch off the generator attached to a vehicle, he received a severe electric shock.

The shock caused Akshay to lose consciousness immediately. Locals rescued him and rushed him to the Soro Community Health Centre (CHC), where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
