Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for 30 districts in Odisha today due to a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal. The system is likely to move northwestward, impacting southern Odisha and neighboring regions.
Heavy rainfall predicted in four districts is Kalahandi, Nabarangapur, Koraput, and Malkangiri. Residents in these areas can expect gusty winds of up to 30-40 km/h and potential thunderstorms. The IMD has also issued a yellow warning for 24 districts due to potential thunderstorms and lightning.
The sea is expected to be rough tomorrow, and fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea.
Meanwhile, the monsoon is set to withdraw. The weather office has indicated that the weather conditions are favorable for the monsoon to withdraw from some parts of western Rajasthan by September 15.
