Balasore: A couple died and their 12-year-old daughter was seriously injured when the wall of their house collapsed while they were asleep in the early hours of Monday.
The incident took place at Mahadev Sarai village under the Basta police station in Balasore district.
According to reports, Pitha Murmu, his wife Lakhmi Murmu, and their daughter were sleeping in their home when the wall suddenly collapsed in the early hours. Neighbouring residents rushed to the scene and rescued the three, taking them to Basta Hospital. Tragically, the doctors declared the couple dead upon arrival. The daughter is currently undergoing treatment for her critical injuries.
The incident has sent shockwaves in the community.
