Bhubaneswar: In preparation for the transfer of valuable items and ornaments to the Ratna Bhandar, devotees will be restricted from the general darshan at Jagannath temple in Puri from 10 am tomorrow. This temporary measure is being taken to ensure the safe and secure transfer of the precious items.
As per reports, the Ratna Bhandar, which houses the deities’ valuable ornaments and other precious items, was recently repaired, and the valuables were temporarily relocated. With the repair work now complete, the items will be shifted back to their original location. During this period of shifting, devotees will not be allowed to enter the temple and Bhog Mandap, but they can still collect Mahaprasad from the Anand Bazar.
Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has issued a notification in this regard.
As per the notification, devotees will not be allowed to have the darshan of the sibling deities Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra during the time of shifting.
Meanwhile, the temple administration has sought the cooperation of devotees during the shifting to ensure the smooth execution of the shifting process.
Once the shifting process is completed, the restrictions will be lifted, and darshan will resume as normal. The administration is confident that devotees will understand the necessity of this arrangement and appreciate the efforts being made to safeguard the valuable items.
