Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, the outsourcing employees working in rural housing construction programmes under the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department will get their arrears soon.
The Centre has released Rs 225 crore arrears for outsourcing employees after the intervention of Odisha Government.
The department has confirmed that the arrears of approximately 700 employees, delayed due to procedural issues, will be cleared soon.
The development comes as a relief to the outsourcing employees who have been awaiting their payments for a long time.
