Bhubaneswar: The Kalinga Literary Festival (KLF) organised its much-awaited Bhava Samvad sessions on October 26 at Mayfair Lagoon in Bhubaneswar, bringing together eminent thinkers, writers, and scholars for in-depth conversations on statecraft, governance, leadership, history, and spiritual awakening.
The first session featured former civil servant Dr. U.N. Behera in conversation with Prof. D.V. Ramana and Prof. Jatindra Kumar Nayak. The discussion traced Dr. Behera’s personal and professional journey, highlighting his formative college years, work-life balance, and decades-long association with government institutions. Drawing on his administrative experience, Dr. Behera shared insights on governance, accountability, and regulatory reforms in the power sector. The session concluded with a lively Q&A, reflecting the audience’s deep curiosity and admiration for his multifaceted career.
The second session featured noted scholar and writer Prabir Pattnaik, in a conversation moderated by Prof. Jatindra Kumar Nayak. The discussion focused on Pattnaik’s latest book, Uddiyana Guru Padmasambhava: The Second Buddha, exploring the life and teachings of Guru Padmasambhava and his enduring connection with Odisha. The session also highlighted the author’s 14-year research journey and early professional experiences that shaped his understanding of history and culture, captivating the audience with its depth and insight.
Both sessions concluded with the felicitation of the speakers and moderators by Padma Vibhushan Sudarshan Sahoo and Ashok Kumar Bal, CEO and Patron of the Kalinga Literary Festival, marking a memorable day of intellectual engagement and literary celebration in Bhubaneswar.
