Bhubaneswar: The Central Government has agreed to bear the entire construction cost of 92 railway overbridges across the state. This decision comes after the State Government requested the Railway Ministry to take full responsibility for the project, initially planned as a 50:50 cost-sharing venture.
The Union Railway Ministry has formally approved the proposal, paving the way for the construction of these critical infrastructure projects. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for this generous support.
The Chief Minister acknowledged the Prime Minister’s consistent focus on Odisha’s development, particularly in enhancing the state’s rail, road, port, and air infrastructure. He believes this initiative will accelerate Odisha’s growth and development.
