One Dead As Bus Collides With Motor Cycle In Kandhamal

Bhubaneswar: One person was killed and another sustained severe injuries due to collision between a bus and a motorcycle at Podasankha , approximately 1.5 km from Bramhaniagaon market under Daringibadi block in Kandhamal district on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Prakash Badaik (45) from Kinarigaon, while the injured has been identified Pujarani Patra, a Plus II student from the same village. Pujarani was initially rushed to a nearby hospital. As her condition deteriorated she was shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital via an 108 ambulance.

The accident sparked protests, with hundreds of locals blocking the road with the deceased’s body, demanding justice.
