Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet on Monday approved an amendment to the Combined Graduate Level Recruitment Examination (CGLRE) Rules, 2022, allowing the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) to issue recruitment advertisements more than once a year if additional vacancies arise.
Earlier, OSSC was permitted to release only one recruitment advertisement annually, based on vacancies reported by various state departments. The new amendment introduces flexibility, enabling the commission to release a second advertisement within the same calendar year, subject to government approval.
In addition, the CGLRE Schedule-I has been expanded. Four new posts have been added to the existing 20, bringing the total to 24 posts under Group-B and Group-C State Cadre services. OSSC will conduct examinations for all these posts as per the revised schedule.
The move is expected to facilitate faster recruitment for state government positions and address the growing demand for personnel in various departments.
