Jayapur (Koraput): Train services in the Rayagada Division of East Coast Railway (ECoR) have been disrupted following a landslide between MVG and CTS stations, prompting the cancellation and curtailment of several express and passenger trains between October 13 and 22, railway officials said.

According to ECoR Bulletin No. 10 issued on Sunday, four express trains will remain cancelled during the notified period.

Train No. 18515 Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Express and Train No. 18516 Kirandul–Visakhapatnam Express will remain cancelled from October 13 to 20.

Similarly, Train No. 18107 Rourkela–Jagdalpur Express will be cancelled from October 13 to 20, while Train No. 18108 Jagdalpur–Rourkela Express will remain cancelled from October 14 to 21.

Several other trains will operate on shortened routes due to the disruption.

Train No. 18005 Howrah–Jagdalpur Express, Train No. 18447 Bhubaneswar–Jagdalpur Express and Train No. 58501 Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Passenger will be short-terminated at Koraput from October 13 to 20.

In the return direction, Train No. 18006 Jagdalpur–Howrah Express will originate from Koraput instead of Jagdalpur from October 15 to 22.

Train No. 18448 Jagdalpur–Bhubaneswar Express will originate from Koraput from October 14 to 21, while Train No. 58502 Kirandul–Visakhapatnam Passenger will originate from Koraput from October 13 to 20.

Railway authorities have clarified that services on the Koraput–Jagdalpur section in both directions will remain affected for the specified trains during the notified periods.

Passengers travelling on the affected routes have been advised to check the latest train updates before starting their journeys and make alternative travel arrangements wherever necessary.

The railway authorities are monitoring the situation following the landslide, the bulletin said.
