Bhubaneswar: The State government on Saturday revealed that over 17 lakh women have been successfully enrolled in the Subhadra Yojana following extensive field verification.
Deputy Chief Minister and Women and Child Development minister Pravati Parida informed the Odisha Assembly, stated that 17,83,251 women were officially added to the scheme after detailed scrutiny of household records, while 9,36,283 applications were rejected.
Parida highlighted that the verification process involved cross-checking households to ensure accuracy and prevent duplication. Over 97 lakh women have already received financial assistance under the scheme, covering all three installments. Additionally, 1,03,89,801 beneficiaries have received the first installment, and 1,01,92,724 have received the second installment.
The Subhadra Yojana aims to provide financial support to women in Odisha, and the government’s efforts to verify beneficiaries and disburse assistance have been ongoing.
