Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has procured 73.45 lakh metric tonnes of paddy during the 2024-25 kharif season, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra informed the State Assembly on Wednesday.
Responding to a query by MLA Sidhant Mohapatra, Patra said the government has disbursed Rs 16,895 crore as Minimum Support Price (MSP) and Rs 5,876 crore as input subsidy under the Samruddha Krushak Yojana, totalling Rs 22,771 crore to farmers.
The Minister assured that there have been no reports of millers indulging in malpractice during paddy procurement.
