Puri: On the occasion of the English New Year 2026, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has released its official calendar, showcasing the rich spiritual and artistic heritage associated with Lord Shree Jagannath.
After the calendars were printed, they were first offered at the lotus feet of Mahaprabhu in Puri as part of customary rituals. Subsequently, the calendar was formally unveiled in Bhubaneswar on Thursday by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by Principal Secretary of the Law Department Pavitra Mohan Samal, Chief Administrator of SJTA Dr. Arabinda Padhee, Puri District Collector Divyajyoti Parida, Superintendent of Police Prateek Singh, along with officers and employees of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration.
The newly released calendar will be available for devotees and pilgrims at all SJTA information centres. Designed to be both devotional and visually appealing, the calendar features attractive visuals including Pattachitra depictions of Mahaprabhu in various besha (attires), sand art creations, and exquisite illustrations inspired by traditional palm-leaf manuscript artwork.
Extending greetings on the occasion of the English New Year, the Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple conveyed his best wishes to devotees and pilgrims, while praying for the blessings of Mahaprabhu’s lotus feet upon everyone.
