Koraput/ Bhubaneswar: Minister Housing and Urban Development, Krushna Chandra Mohapatra, today visited Sunabeda Municipality in Koraput district and conducted an on-site inspection of the Aahaar Kendra to assess the quality, freshness and nutritional value of food being served.
During the inspection, the Minister personally tasted the food and expressed serious dissatisfaction over its quality. He observed that the food lacked essential components such as vegetables and dal and largely consisted of water. Terming the situation unacceptable, he issued a strict warning to the concerned authorities and directed them to ensure immediate improvement, failing which action would be taken. He described this as the “first and last warning.”
MLA of Koraput, Raghuram Machh, was present during the inspection. The visit was attended by the District Collector, Koraput, Superintendent of Police, Koraput, and the Executive Officer, Sunabeda Municipality.
As part of his district tour, the Minister also reviewed ongoing development works in Koraput district. He visited the winter shelter, interacted with residents and assessed the facilities being provided. The Minister further held discussions with departmental officers on the effective implementation of government schemes, emphasizing quality execution, transparency and accountability.
