Bhubaneswar: One person was killed and three others sustained injuries in a road accident at B. Kainchapur village under Rambha police station limits in Ganjam district on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as G. Shubham Reddy, a Class XII student of Saheed Bhagat Singh College, Khandadeuli under Purusottampur police station.
According to reports, four students, including Reddy, were travelling towards Purusottampur on two motorcycles when they collided head-on with a car coming from the opposite direction. Reddy died on the spot due to the impact, while the other three students were seriously injured.
The injured students were immediately shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur, for treatment.
On receiving information, Rambha police reached the accident site and initiated an investigation into the incident.
